Dr Michael Watts MBBS MRCGP . GMC no: 3090563
GMC Revalidation to January 2029
Dr Mick Watts has worked locally as an NHS GP since 1990. He is a Member of the Royal College of GP's and former senior Partner locally at Datchet Health Centre.
He qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1985 and went on to do his junior hospital jobs and GP training in London.
He married in 1989 to Louise who is a nurse and they have two adult boys both educated at Windsor Boys School.
In 1990 he started as junior partner in Datchet and with his partners helped establish the very highest quality NHS services for the area. During his time at Datchet he was instrumental in working across the area in his former NHS roles as Chair of Windsor Multifund, Founder of Windsor Medical Services and Chief Clinical Officer of The Federation of Windsor Ascot and Maidenhead Practices.
He left the partnership there in 2021 and has continued to work in the area as a GP.

He has come to realise that he misses most the continuity of Practice that lead him to become a GP initially. The NHS has inevitably changed and the nature of practice is no longer the pure traditional family medicine he loves. By joining Dr Jeremy Wheeler and Dr Usha Sharma at Windsor Private GP Practice he has found traditional family practice alive and well. The facilities offered at The Princess Margaret Hospital are excellent and together with the governance structures provided by the Circle Group these allow the safest and best of medical care. He is very please to be part of the wonderful team here, surrounded by instant access to specialist Consultant advice and onward referral.
Dr Watts is an experienced GP able to consult on all medical matters. He has special GP level interests in:
Men's Health
Acute health conditions
Sports and musculoskeletal medicine
Skin health and mole checks including dermoscopy
Chronic disease management
Children's health
Elderly medicine
Mental health and wellbeing
Dr Mick Watts is a season ticket holder at Harlequins. He finished the London Marathon on three occasions and maintains his wellbeing with regular daily exercise, his Peloton bike, yoga, Pilates, weights and is recently learning Padel. He has a wide range of interests and is a keen blogger and writes regularly about travels life food and much other stuff at his social blog site www.NHSonTheRun.com
